Nigerian travel content creator, Pelumi Nubi, has reached the African continent as she continues her ambitious solo drive from London to Lagos.
Her itinerary spans 17 countries, covering a distance of over 7,000km (4,340 miles) over a span of two months.
The 29-year-old has been documenting her journey, sharing updates along the way. In her latest message on Sunday, she wrote:
“I won’t sugarcoat it – crossing into Morocco from Spain had me on edge initially.”
Her next plan is to drive through the West Sahara desert, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, and finally, Nigeria, where she aims to reach Lagos.
Ms. Nubi believes she is the first black woman to attempt this remarkable journey. While her goal isn’t about breaking records, she aims to show the world that “impossible” is merely a word.
