Spain forward Nico Williams, of Ghanaian descent, has been named among the 10 players shortlisted for the 2024 Ballon d’Or from La Liga.
Williams earned this nomination following his stellar performances for Spain during the 2024 European Championship, where he played a crucial role in helping La Roja secure the title.
His remarkable form also extended to his club season with Athletic Club, where he was instrumental in their triumph in the Copa del Rey.
Other La Liga players nominated for the prestigious award include Lamine Yama, Jude Bellingham, Dani Olmo, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and retired star Toni Kroos.
