Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a former deputy minister of communication, has been re-elected as the opposition National Democratic Congress’s parliamentary candidate in the Abura Asebu-Kwamankese seat for the 2024 elections.
In the NDC primaries that just took place on Saturday, May 13, 2023, the former Deputy Minister received 830 votes to emerge victorious.
His contender on the other hand, Professor Nana Ama Browne Klutse, received 571 votes.
Though Mr Kwakye Ofosu won the party’s 2019 parliamentary contest, he lost in the 2020 general elections.
He is however optimistic of winning in the 2024 elections on the ticket of the NDC.
