A Pro-NDC user on X (formerly Twitter) by name Uncle Paa Kwesi has claimed that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has traveled to Germany for medical treatment.
Although close sources within the NPP’s running mate campaign have refuted the claim, this X user has refused to back down on his unverified claim.
According to him “Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), running mate for NPP flys to Germany for medical treatment. Ghana is with you in our prayers,”.
This assertion comes after some Ghanaians suggested that Dr Opoku Prempeh may be ill due to the recent change in his physical appearance.
Photos of the politician in recent times show a loss in weight.
