Gospel musician and pastor Nana Yaw Boakye, better known as MOGmusic, has shared the harrowing details surrounding the death of his baby.
The two-time Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Male Vocalist of the Year recounted how, despite the initial belief that their baby was thriving, a hospital visit revealed otherwise after his wife noticed a lack of usual fetal movements.
MOGmusic relayed that the doctor informed them that they would need to induce labor and suggested the option of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The doctor expressed condolences and mentioned that such tragedies are not uncommon.
In a conversation with MzGee on the show “Just Being Us,” MOGmusic described his wife’s reaction to the devastating news.
He explained that her grief was profound and beyond description, a state of despair he had never witnessed before.
He reflected on the emotional journey of the past seven months, highlighting the moments of connection with the unborn baby through prayers and physical interaction, only to face the heart-wrenching loss.
Despite this, the couple has since welcomed other children and remains hopeful for the future.
