Renowned Nigerian artist, Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has opened up about the challenges that led to the decline of his music career.
The singer pointed fingers at his previous management team, accusing them of sabotaging his hard-earned success.
In a candid Instagram post, Terry G criticized his former management for allegedly overbooking him, even when he was unavailable.
He expressed frustration over the negative impact on his brand due to their failure to reimburse show producers for events he couldn’t attend.
The artist took the opportunity to issue a public apology to concert promoters who were affected by the actions of his questionable crew.
In his statement, Terry G acknowledged his humanity and sought understanding for the false narrative created about him by his managers.
“To all show promoters, I worked with a dubious team (managers) which created a false narrative about me, accepting bookings without my knowledge. I am only but human and I use this platform to apologize for all that. I’m happy to clear this out as it has been the reason why y’all haven’t been hearing or seeing Terry G. Thank you. Terry G,” he conveyed.
Additionally, Terry G revealed that he had resolved issues with DJs across the nation, effectively lifting a ban that had hindered the playing of his music. In a separate post, he confirmed the resolution and informed his fans that he is no longer banned by the DJ association.
“To all deejays, I have been cleared from the ban I had years ago. I have settled. I’m putting this out for the great ones who haven’t heard the information since 2020 to know that I’m no longer banned by the DJ association. Terry G,” he added.
With this revelation and resolution, Terry G aims to make a triumphant return to the music scene, overcoming the obstacles that had hindered his career.
