Ghanaian Hiplife artist Kweku Darlington has opened up about his extended hiatus from music throughout 2023.
In an interview with Joy Prime on August 30, 2024, he revealed that he had been battling a severe illness caused by malicious black magic, or ‘juju,’ from people he once considered friends.
Darlington described the ordeal as taking a significant physical and emotional toll, with the effects even visible on his skin, leaving lasting marks.
He explained that the intention behind the attack was to confine him and prevent him from performing and engaging with his fans.
“It was an extremely tough time for me,” Darlington recounted. “People I trusted turned against me, using dark practices to hinder my career. The idea was to keep me indoors, limiting my ability to perform and be active.”
Now, Darlington is recovering and feeling better, ready to resume his musical career after a challenging year.
