MobileMoney Limited (MML), also known as MTN MoMo, has achieved the prestigious Mobile Money certification from the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA).

This certification marks a significant milestone for the company and highlights its dedication to providing secure and reliable financial services to its global mobile money users.

The certification process, conducted from November 2022 to May 2023, involved a thorough assessment of MML against eight principles defined by the GSMA. These principles cover critical areas such as System Security, Data Privacy, Fund Safeguarding, and Operational Quality.

By meeting these rigorous standards, MML demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security, transparency, and resilience in its mobile money services.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MobileMoney Limited, Shaibu Haruna, expressed his delight at the certification, emphasizing that it reinforces the company’s position as a global FinTech service provider.
