Missile has been fired into the sea by North Korea – Japan

On Monday, North Korea shot a missile into the sea, according to Japan and South Korea. This happened right after North Korea said it was going to send a rocket into space with a second military satellite.

North Korea told Japan’s coast guard that they are going to launch a satellite rocket between Monday and June 3.

The Japanese Prime Minister’s Office said it’s no longer worried about a missile hitting Okinawa after North Korea launched one.

Last year, North Korea sent its first military satellite into space to keep an eye on the US-led military threats. They want to build a surveillance network in space. North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un said at a meeting with his ruling party that the country will send three more military spy satellites into space in 2024.

The UN doesn’t allow North Korea to launch satellites because they think it’s really a way for them to test their long-range missiles. North Korea insists that it is allowed to send satellites into space and test missiles. Kim said that spy satellites will help his military watch US and South Korean military activities more closely and make their nuclear-capable missiles more dangerous.

North Korea gives Japan its information about when they will launch missiles because Japan’s coast guard helps to keep ships safe in East Asia.
