Messi wants to leave PSG asap

Lionel Messi’s relationship with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) appears to have deteriorated significantly following the club’s decision to punish him for taking an unsanctioned trip to Saudi Arabia.

The forward was suspended and fined two weeks’ wages by the club, a move that appears to have angered the Argentine superstar and caused rifts within PSG’s hierarchy.

According to a report by Sportskeeda, Messi is reportedly contemplating terminating his contract with PSG within the next ten days.

The player, who was also subjected to protests by the club’s fans, is keen on leaving the club before they are crowned Ligue 1 champions, and is said to be doing everything in his power to force his way out.

Messi’s current deal with PSG is set to expire at the end of the season. However, the 35-year-old appears determined to leave the club as soon as possible, and is reportedly exploring all possible avenues to make this happen.

It remains to be seen whether or not PSG will allow Messi to leave before the end of the season, or if they will try to keep hold of him for as long as possible.

The situation has been made all the more complicated by Messi’s recent suspension and subsequent fine by PSG.

It is unclear at this stage whether or not these issues can be resolved, or if they will lead to Messi’s departure from the club.

Messi’s potential departure from PSG is likely to send shockwaves through the world of football.

The Argentine superstar is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, and has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.

His decision to leave Barcelona for PSG last summer was seen as a major coup for the French club, who were looking to build a team capable of challenging for the Champions League.

However, Messi’s time at PSG has been somewhat tumultuous. Despite his undoubted talent, the player has struggled to adapt to life in France, and has been the subject of criticism and scrutiny from fans and the media alike.

The recent suspension and subsequent fine have only served to compound these issues, and have led to rumours that Messi is no longer happy at PSG.

At this stage, it is unclear what the future holds for Messi and PSG. The player’s reported desire to leave the club is sure to have repercussions, both for PSG and for the wider football community.

Messi joined PSG amid fanfare in 2021 but the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has failed to replicate his best form for the Parisians which has caused fans to turn on him recently.

Mascherano warns angry PSG fans

Meanwhile, former Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano has warned Paris Saint-Germain supporters that they will regret criticising Lionel Messi, Goal reports.

Mascherano insists PSG were lucky and should be grateful they had the all-time great play for their team as Messi does not deserve the treatment he has gotten from the Parisian fans.

Disgruntled PSG fans had gathered in front of the club’s headquarters in protest as they called for Messi to leave the club after it was gathered the forward did not intend to extend his current contract.

It is also alleged that , Neymar Jnr, former Barcelona star and PSG stalwart is on the verge of leaving the club as the Parisian hierarchy is willing to let the player go if a good deal is presented to them.

Manchester United is currently leading the race for the Brazilian born striker.

He has been off the pitch for sometime due to an ankle injury he suffered last February, 2023.

However, it is reported that the Parisian fans are unhappy with the Neymar anymore hence gathered outside his house protesting that he leaves for his home country.

He later confirmed in a twitter post “they just left” with a crying emoji.

Barcelona prepares two-year deal for Messi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona have intensified their push to re-sign Lionel Messi this summer as reports confirmed the Argentine could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

Messi enjoyed great success with the Catalan club between 2005 and 2021, winning four UEFA Champions League trophies before leaving heartbreakingly following Barca’s failure to renew his contract.

Barcelona has been heavily linked with a move for Messi, and club president Joan Laporta is now set to offer Messi a two-year deal when he eventually leaves PSG this summer.
