Following the ongoing marital issues between Ghanaian musician Medikal and his wife, actress Fella Makafui, lawyer Maurice Ampaw has recommended that the rapper consider seeking psychiatric counseling.
Ampaw’s advice comes as Medikal continues to share public statements about his marital challenges, a behavior the lawyer believes is inappropriate and potentially harmful.
Speaking on Wontumi TV on May 22, 2024, Ampaw expressed concern about Medikal’s approach to handling his private matters on social media.
“We have a duty to keep certain aspects of our marriages private. Whatever transpires between spouses, especially in the event of a divorce, should not be aired publicly,” Ampaw emphasized.
The lawyer pointed out that Medikal’s recent actions deviate from this principle, stating, “So why is Medikal airing his grievances on social media? What is happening?”
Ampaw also expressed disappointment, noting that he previously held Medikal in high regard but now feels that the rapper’s behavior indicates he is struggling with the situation.
“I used to commend you, but it appears you’re overwhelmed by heartbreak,” Ampaw remarked.
“I believe Medikal requires serious psychiatric counselling because heartbreak manifests in various ways, and his situation is prompting him to speak out,” he concluded.
