Scott McTominay has emphasised the unwavering support of the Manchester United players for manager Erik ten Hag as they approach a pivotal Champions League clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
McTominay noted that, in contrast to the past, where the atmosphere in the dressing room had become “toxic” under former managers, such a scenario has not unfolded under the tenure of Ten Hag.
United faces a challenging route to the round of 16 in the Champions League, requiring a victory against Bayern at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Their hopes are contingent on a draw between FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in the other Group A game.
“It is the players’ responsibility, first and foremost,” McTominay told a news conference on Monday. “The players know that as well. We have had many amazing players and right now we are at the stage where we have big characters in the dressing room.”
