Man Utd eyeing Toney, Calvert-Lewin

Man Utd are considering moves for Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, reports The Athletic.

Discussions have taken place among United’s top brass as they look to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s squad. Both England internationals are viewed as viable targets due to their contract statuses.

Toney, 28, is in the final year of his contract. While Brentford are seeking £60 million, United aim to negotiate down to around £40 million.

Calvert-Lewin, 27, might depart Everton as the club navigates financial difficulties. United believe a £30 million bid could secure his transfer.

These potential signings are intended to bolster the squad and provide competition for Rasmus Højlund. United are also monitoring Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee but have yet to trigger his €40 million release clause.
