Following the fatal stabbing of a guy in his 30s on a tram, a man has been detained on suspicion of murder.
After 11.10 a.m. on Monday, according to Nottingham shire Police, officers arrived at the Highbury Vale tram stop, where the victim had already passed away.
A single individual was detained and is still in police custody.
“What happened at Highbury Vale this morning is tragic and resulted in the death of a man in his 30s,” said Chief Constable Kate Meynell of the Nottinghamshire Police.
‘We know there were other passengers on board at the time and understand how frightening this must have been for anyone who saw what happened.
‘Our officers were at the scene quickly and detained a suspect. He remains in police custody.
‘This was an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened this morning.’
