Tamale South Member of Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu, has asserted that former President John Dramani Mahama is poised to bring has what it takes to transform Ghana.
Speaking to the media, he emphasized that Ghanaians should overwhelmingly vote for him in the 2024 elections.
During a ceremony where he was conferred with a chieftaincy title, Sugru-Lana, Chief of Patience, by the paramount chief of Nakpanduri, Naba David Kansuk Na Golbila II, MP Haruna Iddrisu lauded Mahama’s unique combination of past presidential experience and his current non-presidential perspective.
He believes this duality will be instrumental in reshaping the trajectory of Ghana’s economy.
“I have said that former President Mahama is coming back to the throne with two important insights and one important hindsight. He has been President, and he is being outside as non-President, and he will combine the two to change the destiny of this country.”
Expressing optimism in Mahama’s ability to effect positive change, the former Minority Leader urged the people in the region to support NDC MPs to contribute to the broader transformation led by Mahama.
“I pledge to continue to exercise utmost restraint and patience in my attempt to contribute to the public interest and overall development of Ghana,” Haruna Iddrisu affirmed.
