Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has dispelled claims that her boss was not invited by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s private and public functions as part of his 25th anniversary celebration.
An earlier post attributed to Joyce Bawah alleged that John Mahama was not invited to any of the ceremonies taking place as part of the Asante Chief’s celebrations.
But according to Madam Bawah, that news is false as “Both gentlemen enjoy a warm brotherly relationship and let me state without doubt that John Mahama does not require any kind of invitation to participate in any activities be they public or private activities involving Nana Otomfuo Osei Tutu.”
In a post on X, she added that “We have a free pass to Manhyia ignore the fake news from ‘Mr. No Ideas’ and his boys and girls,” while stressing that “the relationship between my Boss, Former President John Dramani Mahama and Nana Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu is a matter of public record.”
She urged those making false claims to desist from that as retribution would be their end should they fail to forfeit such actions.
“Lest I forget: To all those sharing fake news: crime has no expiry date. There are digital footprints that are permanent. You will be dealt with as you continue to peddle these maliciously fake stories. Take note.”
