Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has voiced his frustration over negative comments made by his colleague, Oboy Siki, in public.
During an interview on Angel FM monitored by GhanaWeb, LilWin criticized Oboy Siki for making unprovoked insults that tarnish his reputation.
He argued that the allegations made by Oboy Siki during media appearances are fabricated and intended to boost Siki’s own public profile.
“This man is a big liar, making false claims about me. His insults don’t bother me since he’s like a father to me, but the issue is that people believe him. He may think he’s promoting my movie, but not everyone sees it that way.
“I have no issues with anyone in the film industry, nor have I quarrelled with them. My concern is the lies and insults he hurls at me on the radio, for which he receives GH¢1,000 and sometimes GH¢1,500 as payment,” said LilWin.
In response, Oboy Siki expressed his displeasure with LilWin’s allegations.
“Kwadwo, are you calling me a liar? Have I ever lied during the time I’ve been with you? I didn’t realize you were this foolish. I don’t get paid when I campaign for you. If you think I insult you, that’s one thing, but I don’t lie about you. If it bothers you, why not pay me to stop?” Oboy Siki retorted.
This dispute follows Oboy Siki’s critique of the trailer for LilWin’s movie “A Country Called Ghana,” where he claimed the lighting and sound qualities were below standard. The seasoned actor often makes critical comments about LilWin’s films and personality when in the public eye.
