Ghanaian politician and entertainment entrepreneur Baba Sadiq has made it clear that he has no regrets about his actions or statements regarding Reggae/Dancehall artist Stonebwoy.
He believes that the true lessons from their conflict will only be understood once the situation is fully resolved in the courtroom.
This comes in the wake of Stonebwoy’s no-show at the 3Music SallahFest in April 2024, where he was supposed to perform alongside Shatta Wale, his long-time rival.
During an interview with Joy Prime on June 12, 2024, Sadiq stood by his words, stating, “I don’t have regrets about anything; I just learn lessons. I don’t think there have been any interesting lessons for now. But it’s still a process. We have to get to a particular end before we look back and reflect on things.”
Background:
Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, who owns 3Music, revealed that Stonebwoy’s manager was displeased with the inclusion of Shatta Wale in the concert, which contributed to Stonebwoy’s absence.
Sadiq had accused Stonebwoy of hypocrisy and disrespecting his wife, and he further claimed that Stonebwoy’s public persona was misleading. Sadiq also labeled him as privately difficult, arrogant, and a “violent abuser of women.”
In response, Stonebwoy has filed a defamation lawsuit against Sadiq, demanding GHS 3 million in damages.
