Landguards have killed one person and injured three others in an attack on construction workers in Tebu, located in the Ga South Municipality.
According to reports the incident erupted over a demand for a GH¢4,000 digging fee from the workers.
When the workers refused to pay and continued working, the landguards opened fire, resulting in casualties.
One survivor, Felix Akunnor, sustained a foot injury.
Ebenezer Ahortor, the Assemblyman for the Danchera electoral area, which includes Tebu, confirmed that developers and workers frequently face threats from landguards.
Despite numerous reports to authorities, including the Danchera police station, no action has been taken due to a lack of resources for crime prevention, Ahortor noted.
