Ghanaian film sensation, Kwadwo Nkansah known popularly as Lilwin, has strongly criticized Martha Ankomah, accusing her of disrespecting the Kumawood film industry.
Lilwin claims that Ankomah declined an opportunity to work with Kumawood, asserting that the industry produces insensible movies.
According to Lilwin, the renowned actress expressed her reluctance to collaborate with Kumasi-based stars when approached by director Frank Fiifi Garbin.
Lilwin expressed his disappointment, emphasizing that even established figures in the movie industry, such as Van Vicker, Majid Michel, and Jackie Appiah, have collaborated with Kumawood.
In a fiery statement, Lilwin condemned Ankomah’s alleged remarks, deeming them disrespectful to the local movie industry.
He went on to mock Ankomah for her perceived irrelevance following the decline of the movie industry.
“Nobody knows you in the country, even your child does not know you, you don’t degrade Kumawood, you Martha Ankomah, who knows you?,” LilWin stated.
The award-winning actor further asserted that even if Ankomah were to offer her services for free, Kumawood directors would refrain from working with her due to her perceived insolence.
