Asante Kotoko’s recent series of losses has ignited anger among the club’s fans, with many demanding the removal of head coach Prosper Ogum.
The most recent defeat occurred during match week 23 on Sunday, as the Porcupine Warriors suffered a 1-0 loss to Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Asamoah Boateng Afriyie scored the only goal in the 45+3rd minute, sealing Asante Kotoko’s fate.
This loss marked the team’s fourth consecutive defeat, placing them in ninth position on the league table with just 32 points.
After the match, disgruntled fans aired their frustrations with Ogum’s leadership in front of media cameras.
Some called for the coach to step down if he felt overwhelmed, while others compared his performance in his first title-winning season to his current one.
One fan suggested that Ogum may have been dissatisfied under the management of former CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah because he was unable to bring in his preferred players.
However, now that he has the opportunity to do so, the fan has questioned the quality of the players he has recruited.
Pressure is mounting on Ogum to reverse Asante Kotoko’s fortunes, and it remains to be seen if he can do so.
For now, the fans are adamant that they are dissatisfied with the team’s current form.
