Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee has reportedly chosen his desired shirt number at Manchester United ahead of his anticipated transfer to Old Trafford.
United have been in search of an additional forward to support Rasmus Hojlund, and it appears they have found their candidate in Zirkzee.
Standing at 6’4″, Zirkzee aims to contribute significantly to Erik ten Hag’s squad, helping them climb the Premier League table and compete for top honors.
Zirkzee’s professional journey began at Bayern Munich, where he struggled to secure regular playing time. He experienced loan spells at Parma and Anderlecht before making a permanent move to Bologna in 2022.
During his time with Bologna, he has netted 14 goals and provided nine assists in 58 appearances.
Should this transfer materialize, Zirkzee will soon be introduced as a United player. Following the Netherlands’ exit from Euro 2024, he will take a brief summer break before joining the Red Devils for pre-season preparations.
