A Nigerian transgender influencer, Jay Boogie, has been exposed by the Nigerian Plastic surgery Community and a medical doctor for allegedly lying about his kidney failure and scamming Nigerians for money.
Jay Boogie had previously revealed that he suffered from complications after a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) surgery, which is a cosmetic procedure that transfers fat from other parts of the body to the buttocks.
He claimed that both of his kidneys had failed as a result of the surgery and that he needed an urgent transplant to save his life. He also said that he had difficulty urinating and that he had spent all his life savings on buying diapers.
However, a medical doctor named Dr. Loveth, who had initiated a GoFundMe campaign for Jay Boogie together with the plastic surgery community, has called him out for falsifying his medical condition and scamming Nigerians for donations.
Dr. Loveth said that Jay Boogie had twisted his story from having a urinary tract infection to having a double kidney failure, and that he had refused to provide the original test result from the hospital to prove his claim.
Dr. Loveth also said that the GoFundMe account had been flagged and suspended due to the lack of evidence and transparency.
The LGBT community, which had supported Jay Boogie in his plight, has also turned against him and accused him of tarnishing their image and reputation.
They said that Jay Boogie had betrayed their trust and goodwill, and that he had used his influence to manipulate and deceive people. They also demanded that he should apologize and refund the money he had collected from the public.
