Nigerian music video director TG Omori recently received a life-saving kidney donation from his brother, following a year-long battle with kidney issues.
Omori revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had undergone three surgeries, including a failed kidney transplant at St. Nicolas Hospital in Lagos.
Despite the setbacks, he expressed gratitude for his brother’s selfless act, writing, “One year after my kidney crashed, I just had a failed transplant. Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again.”
Omori has been largely absent from the public eye, sharing only a few glimpses of his health struggles on social media.
Last month, he posted a photo of himself receiving oxygen in the hospital, with tears in his eyes, and hinted at his ongoing challenges through cryptic tweets.
He urged his followers to “say a prayer” for him and lamented the difficulties he’s faced.
The director’s candid revelations have sparked an outpouring of support from fans and followers, who have been sending prayers and well wishes for his recovery.
