Ghanaian hiplife artist and entrepreneur Sidney Kofi Ofori, popularly known as Barima Sidney, has expressed no regrets about supporting Akufo-Addo over John Mahama in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Sidney, who performed at many New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign events during those elections, stated on Cape Coast’s Property FM that he remains steadfast in his support despite the challenges faced by Akufo-Addo’s administration.
“I have always maintained that I do not regret backing Akufo-Addo, given the promises he made at the time,” Sidney explained. “I am not among those who now express disappointment or regret over their decision to support him.”
He acknowledged the difficulties the administration has encountered, recognizing both its achievements and shortcomings.
Sidney advised voters to consider their personal circumstances when deciding in future elections, noting that while some may face hardships, others may be thriving.
Sidney reiterated, “I will never claim to regret my decision to support NPP and Akufo-Addo back then. That is something I will never do.”
