Ghanaian journalist and managing editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, emphasized the public acknowledgment that Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang will retain her role as Vice to NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama.
Pratt emphasised the pivotal role played by Professor Opoku-Agyemang during the 2020 election, underlining her significant influence as a key factor in the NDC’s increased parliamentary representation.
He argued that her continued leadership is crucial for the party’s success and that choosing an alternative candidate could lead to unnecessary controversy.
“Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang deserves to be chosen again; her influence cannot be underestimated. There would be too much controversy if another candidate was chosen,” Pratt stated during the interview on peace fm.
As anticipation builds for the NDC’s decision on their vice flagbearer for the 2024 elections, Pratt’s endorsement adds weight to the growing support for Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s continued role within the party, emphasizing her leadership and influence as instrumental to the party’s future success.
