Following a series of disappointing results in the English Premier League, Manchester United’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, found himself in a state of deep despair after his team’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, September 21, 2023.
Under the management of Erik Ten Haag, Manchester United had been struggling in domestic competitions, and their trip to the Allianz Arena didn’t provide the redemption they had hoped for.

In the post-match press conference, the Cameroonian international demonstrated a commendable sense of responsibility by openly acknowledging his role in the game’s outcome.
“It’s my responsibility; because of me, we didn’t win—and I have to learn from it. I have a lot to prove, because to be honest, my start in Man United is not so good,” he is quoted to have said.
“It was me who let the team down,” he added.
