Intercity bus bursts into flames on Accra-Kumasi Highway

A harrowing incident transpired on the Accra-Kumasi highway as an intercity bus suddenly erupted into flames, sending shockwaves through the passengers and bystanders alike. 

The terrifying ordeal unfolded when the bus encountered unforeseen mechanical issues, sparking panic among those on board.

Eyewitnesses recounted the heart-stopping moment when smoke began to billow from the vehicle, prompting the swift actions of the bus driver. Recognizing the imminent danger, the driver promptly brought the bus to a halt at the roadside, allowing all passengers to evacuate safely before the flames engulfed the vehicle entirely.

Despite the driver’s quick response, the fire rapidly intensified, devouring the entire bus within a matter of minutes. Despite the frantic efforts of onlookers, little could be done to contain the blaze as it spread uncontrollably.
