A middle-aged woman involved in an accident was reportedly abandoned in the bush by staff from the Winneba Trauma Specialist Hospital.
According to a report by UTV’s Jacob Kubi, the woman was alive when she was left at Gomoa Ojobi in the Central Region, but she passed away a few days later.
An eyewitness initially saw the ambulance in the bushes and thought the victim was being transported to the hospital.
However, upon returning, the witness found the woman lying helplessly.
Further investigation by Jacob Kubi revealed that the woman had been receiving treatment at the hospital.
However, the hospital’s management decided to discharge her because no family member came to take her.
In an interview with Jacob Kubi, Dr. George Prah confirmed that the woman was an accident victim undergoing treatment at the hospital.
They decided to take her to Gomoa Ojobi, as she claimed to be from there and no family member had come for her.
The police have since taken the body to the mortuary of the same hospital.
