Founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has issued a public apology to former President John Mahama for his previous criticisms of Mahama’s administration.
This apology comes amidst growing discontent with the current government led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
In his apology, Prophet Kumchacha acknowledged that he had never supported the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama’s party, with his vote. He explained his stance by saying, “I have always made it clear that I have never voted for NDC in my life. The truth remains the truth, as the saying goes, ‘Removing something from your mother’s side does not imply intimacy.'”
Reflecting on his past criticisms during Mahama’s presidency, he admitted, “I openly criticized John Mahama during his tenure whenever negative events occurred. Therefore, when I speak today, listen to me. Today, I, Osofo Kumchacha, am extending my apologies to John Mahama.”
To emphasize his sincerity, Prophet Kumchacha knelt down and directly addressed Mahama, saying, “Former President John Mahama, with utmost humility, I apologize. Please forgive me for any comments I made during your administration regarding ‘dumsor’, currency depreciation, and fuel prices, John, forgive me in God’s name.”
He pointed to the current government’s performance as the catalyst for his change of heart. “I never anticipated that this government, as per John 10:10, would lead to such positive changes. Presently, look at the fuel prices, with a gallon exceeding GH₵60. The dollar rate has surpassed GH₵15. Consider the hardships in our nation,” lamented Kumchacha.
