Father of the late singer Mohbad, Joseph Aloba recently shared more insights into his son’s untimely death during an interview on Arise News. In the interview, Aloba discussed the circumstances of Mohbad’s passing and addressed the topic of his grandson’s DNA.
Mohbad, whose full name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away in Lagos on September 12, reportedly due to an ear infection. The rising star, who had been signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music, was buried in Ikorodu, his hometown, less than 24 hours after his death.
Despite numerous efforts to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s death, little progress was made until a toxicology report, completed nine months later, detected the presence of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine.
During the interview, Joseph Aloba explained that his decision to bury Mohbad so quickly was influenced by traditional practices.
He also mentioned his insistence on conducting a DNA test for his grandson, Liam, which stemmed from a remark made by one of Mohbad’s friends.
However he expressed discontent with the DNA results.
