Ghanaian actress, film producer, singer and author, Juliet Ibrahim has vowed that until Ghana is cleared of the deadly global pandemic, COVID-19, she and her family will not step out.
She revealed this after President Nana Addo in his 7th update on the COVID-19 lifted the partial lockdown in Accra, Kumasi, Kasoa and Tema.
This decision according to him is due to the newly developed capacities and measures that put the government in the right position to better understand and manage the virus.
He, however, stated that lifting the lockdown does not mean that we will disregard safety measures. This means people within Accra and Kumasi are free to go back to their normal duties starting from Tuesday 21st April 2020.
Nonetheless, commercial buses and ban on social gatherings remain the same, as well as international flights.
Despite the upliftment of the lockdown, he pleaded with Ghanaians to observe social distances and be cautious of their movement.
Right after his speech, Juliet Ibrahim took to social media to write:
“Not sure about this decision but oh well🤷â€â™€ï¸ …. AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSEHOLD WE REMAIN ON PARTIAL LOCKDOWN UNTIL WE HEAR REPORTS OF NO MORE NEW CASES AND EVERYONE SUSPECTED HAS Tested negative AND ALL CONTACTS HAS BEEN TRACED AND TESTED and cleared. Till then… âœðŸ¼âœðŸ¼âœðŸ¼âœðŸ¼âœðŸ¼ðŸ¤.â€
