Renowned Ghanaian Hiplife artist Okyeame Kwame has expressed his strong desire to clinch the coveted Ghana Music Awards (GMA) Artiste of the Year title once more, a triumph he last achieved back in 2009.
The talented musician shared his thoughts during a discussion about his latest track ‘Insha Allah,’ featuring King Paluta, which has been nominated in the Hiplife Song of the Year category.
Reiterating his ambitious goal, Okyeame Kwame affirmed his unwavering determination to secure the prestigious Artiste of the Year accolade again.
He emphasized that he is leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of this achievement.
“It’s truly gratifying to receive a nomination, especially as I mark my 26th year in the music industry. It validates that people appreciate my work. However, my primary focus remains on winning the ultimate Artiste of the Year award. It’s a goal I am firmly committed to,” he stated.
Expanding on his plans, he highlighted his dedication to reshaping the music landscape with an exceptional album, slated for release later this year.
He vowed to ramp up his efforts to ensure the success of this endeavour.
Okyeame Kwame, whose real name is Kwame Nsiah Apau, has made a significant impact on Ghana’s music scene throughout his illustrious career.
Notably, he won the Hiplife Song of the Year at the 2000 Ghana Music Awards as part of the duo Akyeame and later claimed the Artiste of the Year honour in 2009 during his solo career.
