Ghanaian rapper Medikal has responded to Fella Makafui‘s public statement regarding their separation by demanding the return of his wedding ring and the drinks he provided for her family during their engagement.
In her statement, Fella revealed that their marriage had ended amicably several months prior and expressed her disappointment over Medikal’s recent public outbursts, which she claims have tarnished her reputation.
Medikal, commenting on an Instagram post made by Fella’s manager that shared her press release, stated his readiness to finalize their divorce once his ring and the engagement drinks are returned.
“As she say she no want this anymore, I’m just waiting for my ring and the drinks. Anytime you guys are ready, I am here,” he wrote.
Fella Makafui’s press statement, dated May 18, 2024, confirmed the dissolution of their four-year marriage, noting that the decision had been made months earlier and was pending customary divorce rites.
Fella also mentioned her intention to pursue legal action to ensure her and her daughter’s safety and to formalize co-parenting arrangements with Medikal according to the law.

Recently, Medikal took to social media with a barrage of allegations against his ex-wife, Fella Makafui.
This follows an incident where he alleged that his ex-wife, who still shares their home, reported him to the police.
Medikal attributed this development to his request for Fella to have her cousin, a long-term resident in their household, vacate the premises.
