I wouldn’t have gone far in this music business without Don Jazzy – D’Banj

Nigerian musician Oladapo Oyebanjo, also known as “D’banj,” attributed his two-decade musical journey to his partnership with Michael Ajereh, aka “Don Jazzy.”

According to D’banj, these twenty years were defined by camaraderie, entertainment, and unwavering support.

D’banj expressed his gratitude towards Don Jazzy, acknowledging that their collaborative journey had been marked by brotherhood, entertainment, and steadfast encouragement.

“My 20-year journey cannot be complete without It’s @donjazzy again! Giving him the invite to my anniversary dinner was a moment filled with nostalgia.

“As we both celebrate 20 years in the industry, I’m reminded of the countless memories and milestones we’ve shared together.

“Here’s to two decades of brotherhood, entertainment, and unwavering support. Love you always, Brother!.”

Don Jazzy also took to the comment section, saying: “Still finding it hard to believe it’s been 20 years bro. Feels like yesterday. Thank you for everything. Love you brotherLee. More blessings 🩶🐘.”

He reminisced about their shared experiences and achievements over the years, inviting Don Jazzy to join him in celebrating their milestone at an anniversary dinner.

In response, Don Jazzy also reflected on their journey, expressing disbelief that two decades had passed since they started.

He thanked D’banj for everything and wished for continued blessings and success.

The partnership between D’banj and Don Jazzy began in 2004 when they co-founded Mo’Hits Records, later paving the way for Mavin Records under Don Jazzy’s leadership.

D’banj had previously hinted at celebrating his 20 years in the industry at the New Afrika Shrine in Lagos with a special event titled “D’banj Live @New Afrika Shrine.”
