Kumawood actor Joseph Osei, popularly known as Wayoosi, has thrown his weight behind John Dramani Mahama’s bid for the presidency in the upcoming 2024 elections.
Wayoosi praised Mahama’s extensive record of developmental projects and emphasised the impact of initiatives like the Kejetia Market in Kumasi, attributing them to Mahama’s support for business growth.
In an interview, Wayoosi urged Ghanaians to vote for Mahama to address economic challenges and continue the progress seen during his previous term.
The upcoming election will see Mahama vying against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other contenders, with the vote set for December 7, 2024.
“I would be immensely pleased to see Mahama ascend to the presidency once more. His personal contributions aside, the 24-hour economy strategy he proposes is promising, given his prior accomplishments,” the actor said.
“Take a glance at the splendid Kejetia market in the Ashanti Region; his four-year tenure was marked by diligent efforts. Isn’t that reason enough to grant him another term?” he expressed.
