Leader and founder of the All People’s Congress (APC) and a former presidential candidate for the People’s National Convention (PNC) Hassan Ayariga, has announced that his party is aiming to secure a budget of $100 million in preparation for his candidacy in the 2024 presidential elections.
He made the disclosure during an appearance on TV3’s Hot Issues on February 17, 2024.
Responding to the host’s question on what his budget is, Mr. Ayariga said: “Its a lot; we are looking at $100 million to win the elections.”
According to him, any party that seeks to win an election in 2024 is expected to prepare for nothing short of a ‘whooping’ “$52000 million”.
However, he looks forward to winning “at least 23–25 constituencies in the country.”
The former PNC presidential candidate went on to accuse the giant political duo, i.e., the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), of turning the country into a business centre.
“You know, over the years, the NPP and NDC have turned Ghana into a business centre,” he added
