“I will resign if NDC can point out 1 hospital project they started, completed, commissioned” – Minister

Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah has vowed to resign if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) can point out a single hospital it commissioned in the region during its tenure.

According to him, the NDC brainwashed people that they have built and commissioned hospitals in the Ashanti Region when there are no records to show for it.

He quizzed, “which of the 3 interchanges in Ashanti Region was done by the NDC? A party that offered you nothing! You know I have thrown a challenge to them (NDC), that if they can show us one hospital they either came to meet or built themselves from January 7 2009 to 6th January 2017 and were able to commission in Ashanti Region, and I will resign,” the minister threw a challenge to the NDC.

Meanwhile, the minister was speechless during a live TV interview when he was asked a question about the projects that his party, the NPP, has been able to do for the people of his region.

In the interview on Oyerepa TV on Monday, March 25, 2024, Simon Osei-Mensah could be seen struggling to give answers to the question of what he and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had been able to do.

After speaking about four such projects from his party, for the region, the minister went blank and quiet, unable to say any more words.

“We have completed the Zipline project which is at Mampong… go and look at Bosomtwe Girls… By the end of April, you will see that planes can land at the airport… baby and mother unit that Auntie Rebecca came to commission is also our project,” and then the minister went blank on live TV.
