Nana Kwame Bediako, widely recognized as Cheddar has shared the story of how he achieved his first million pounds at the age of 21.

The leader of the New Force Movement, attributed this financial milestone to a combination of ventures in the telecommunications sector and a strategic involvement in the scrap business in the United Kingdom.

During an insightful discussion on the Point of View show on Citi TV, Cheddar revealed that he utilized $20,000 from his initial million-pounds earnings to establish a club in Ghana.

This entrepreneurial move proved fruitful, resulting in a profit of $75,000 after selling the club in 2002.

Recounting his early success, Cheddar explained, “The first money I made in England altogether was a million pounds and I was 21. I was working for myself, my company was GT, Global Telecommunications and Utilities I was selling scrap. I had my own office and I two employees.

“I started investments at a very young age and what happens when you make investments is that the money goes away and it feels like you are broke again so it makes you hungry.”

Cheddar emphasized the impact of starting investments at a young age, acknowledging the challenges of financial fluctuations that accompany such endeavors.

Looking forward, Cheddar, as the leader of the New Force, expressed a commitment to providing opportunities for the youth to actively participate in the country’s decision-making processes and the selection of leaders in the upcoming 2024 elections.

He criticized the lack of such opportunities for the youth over the past four decades, asserting that they were often used by politicians who offered monetary incentives in exchange for votes.

He stated, “I think that the New Force is standing for the youth in this country. We believe that in the past four decades, the youth should have the right to be a part of the decision – how and who is going to lead us and how they are supposed to lead us.

“In the past four decades, between NDC and NPP, there hasn’t been any young person who has stood up with the courage to say that I am coming in, and I am going to become the unifier.”
