I see nothing wrong with ‘Yolo’ star Drogba reminding Bawumia about his promise – Arnold

Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has publicly backed Ghanaian actor John Peasah, known as Drogba from the TV series YOLO, in urging Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to follow through on a previously made promise.

Arnold emphasized that since Dr. Bawumia had committed to assisting Drogba with his healthcare, it is appropriate for Drogba to remind him of the promise, especially given the ongoing pain Drogba is experiencing due to his health issues.

He highlighted the importance of addressing Drogba’s suffering promptly, noting that public reminders are reasonable when promises remain unfulfilled over time.

“I understand the vice president’s busy schedule, especially with campaign activities, but Drogba’s pain and ongoing health issues justify a reminder. If the promised support hasn’t been forthcoming after several months, it’s understandable for him to reach out again,” Arnold stated on UTV’s United Showbiz with MzGee on August 3, 2024.

This follows Drogba’s social media appeal to Dr. Bawumia to honor his commitment to assist with his treatment abroad. John Peasah has been struggling with a severe demyelination condition, which impacts the nervous system, since the last season of ‘YOLO’.

Dr. Bawumia has previously shown support through a visit and financial aid, alongside contributions from Drogba’s friends, but the full promise of treatment abroad has yet to be fulfilled.
