I never said NSMQ show is bogus – Nsein SHS student clarifies

Richlove Oduro, a student from Nsein SHS who recently gained attention online, has provided clarity on her controversial remarks hovering around the efficiency of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) and its relevance in today’s study of science.

In a recent interview, Richlove explained that her comments questioning the relevance of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) were misunderstood.

She emphasized that she never referred to the NSMQ as a “bogus show,” as some have claimed. Instead, she intended to highlight that the NSMQ should not be the sole standard for judging the quality of a school.

Richlove concluded by urging the youth to develop critical thinking skills, particularly when addressing issues of national importance.

The National Science and Maths Quiz is an annual science and mathematics content-based national-level quiz competition for senior high schools in Ghana. It has been produced by Primetime Limited, an education-interest advertising and public relations agency, since 1993.
