Nigerian music sensation Tekno has vehemently denied rumors suggesting he received over N1 billion in royalties from Kizz Daniel for their collaboration on the hit song “Buga.”
The rumours had alleged that Tekno claimed Kizz Daniel had paid him royalties exceeding N1 billion for their joint track “Buga.”
It was further reported that Kizz Daniel allegedly shared 50% of the song’s revenue with Tekno.
In response to these claims, Tekno took to X platform to express his outrage, hurling curses at those behind what he termed a false interview.
He declared, “His money isn’t up to that! Anyone spreading that fake interview, may thunder strike your family…#TalkingShit.”
“Buga,” released on May 3, 2022, quickly soared to become Nigeria’s most popular song and even held the title of the most Shazamed track globally upon its release.
