Famous Kumawood actor Paa George recently spoke candidly about his concealed parenthood disclosing that he has fathered more than 20 children, though officially acknowledged only five, with one sadly no longer alive.
During the interview, Paa George shed light on the challenges he faced in claiming paternity for the majority of his offspring.
He attributed this difficulty to societal stereotypes surrounding entertainers during his prime.
“In those times, our profession wasn’t respected, so when you impregnated a woman and tried to take responsibility, her parents would even reject you upon discovering your involvement in Concert Party,” lamented Paa George, formerly known as Kwadwo Blackie.
Despite his attempts to assert his role as a father, the veteran actor expressed frustration at facing rejection and noted that many of his children are likely scattered across Ghana, their existence unrecognized due to societal biases against those in the entertainment industry.
