Manager of renowned Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex provided insights into the nature of their professional ties, asserting the absence of a formal contract between them.
Flex highlighted that their working relationship is governed by a legal verbal agreement, challenging the notion that a binding agreement must always be documented on paper.
During the interview, he emphasised, “Agreement is an agreement; we have a legal agreement in place. A legal agreement should not only be about signing a physical contract. We have a legal agreement based on mutual understanding and discussions.”
Expanding on the unconventional arrangement, Sammy Flex clarified that their verbal agreement holds legal weight, granting both parties the freedom to terminate the partnership if circumstances dictate.
He explained, “Me and Shatta Wale have a legal verbal agreement. A verbal agreement is legal. I can quit at any time, and he can also terminate our collaboration.”
