I did a butt lift surgery because my stomach was a little too big – BBNaija star

BBNaija star Mercy Eke has revealed that she did a butt lift surgery because her stomach was a little too big even though she had a beautiful slim body.

According to her, she endured significant physical and emotional distress during the process.

However, in a recent interview on the Love is a Game show, Eke shared that societal expectations also led her to choose the procedure, but she considers the outcome was ultimately worthwhile.

“To be very truthful, at first, it was because of the trend. I did my body in 2018. I think at the time it was just the trend, maybe peer pressure; everyone was doing it. I had a beautiful, slim body, but my stomach was a little too big. I was scared. I didn’t tell my mum because I didn’t want anybody to discourage me, so it was me and two of my other friends. We just planned it, we paid, we did it together at the same time.” Mercy disclosed.

She characterized the recovery period after the surgery as especially challenging, highlighting that the required post-operative massages were intensely painful.

“After the surgery, you get to have your body massaged, that’s the painful part. You can’t sleep on your butt for 14 days. You have to lay on your stomach. It was painful. You cry for three days, but it’s worth it” she said.

Responding to speculation about additional procedures, Eke clarified that, apart from the butt lift and a few minor nose fillers, she has not had any other body enhancements.

She also stressed the need for better education on cosmetic procedures, noting that many people have misconceptions about what liposuction actually involves.

“My butt is the softest thing you will ever touch because it’s just fat; it’s like water,” she added.
