The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Dome-Kwabenya, Mike Oquaye Jnr., has warned that Ghanaians could rue their decision if they elect John Dramani Mahama as president once more.
According to him, Mahama lacks innovative ideas for Ghana’s progress.
During an interview on NEAT FM’s ‘Ghana Montie’ morning show, Oquaye Jnr. emphasized Mahama’s previous dismissal of Ghanaians as having short memories.
He urged voters to recall why they rejected Mahama before.
Oquaye Jnr. also criticized Mahama’s campaign promises, questioning their substance.
He particularly questioned Mahama’s commitment to the national football team, citing his past tenure’s purported neglect of the Black Stars.
“Ghanaians must remember the kind of person he [Mahama] is and why we voted against him,” he said.
Mike Oquaye Jnr. further questioned “what Mahama is coming back to do” with his chain of promises to lure voters.
“It’s surprising for Mahama to say he will revamp the Black Stars if he returns to power. What did he do for the Black Stars when he was in power?” he questioned.”
