Shortly after Wiyaala requested Samini to reposition her at a more respectable spot on the flyer for his annual ‘Saminifest,’ the boss of the ‘High Grade label’ took to social media to apologize for the oversight.
Samini received a stern warning from Wiyaala on social media after she noticed the flyer, which prominently featured artists like Kuami Eugene and Fancy Gadam, but seemingly placed her in a less prominent position.
Wiyaala expressed her displeasure, stating that her placement on the flyer portrayed her as an underground artist, and she threatened to withdraw from the event if the necessary adjustments were not made.
“Honestly, I am not happy about this poster circulating on social media. Place my image in the right position or I am out! I am not a backup artiste,” she wrote on Facebook.
In response to the situation, Samini issued an apology to the ‘Rock my body‘ hitmaker, explaining that he wasn’t aware of the details on the flyer.
Samini clarified that he wasn’t provided with the artwork before it was made public, pointing out other errors besides Wiyaala’s complaints.
He assured Wiyaala that he would quickly address the situation: “I’m honestly not aware of this particular artwork, dear sis. Will get the organizers to do the needful. They didn’t even ask me for a picture for this artwork. Whoever did this decided to get my Saminifest to Safarifest. Safarifest is also my concept but not for January 1st.
“I wonder who directed and approved this to be shared, but all those details need to be addressed before there can be a show. Please accept my apology and trust me to get them to pull this down asap. Stay blessed and see you in Jirapa soon,” he replied.
