GWR chew-a-thon attempt by Ghanaian Artist Maame ends in disqualification

Ghanaian musician Ogidi Brown took to Instagram to share the unfortunate news of his mother, Artist Maame’s Guinness World Record (GWR) attempt for the longest chewing gum marathon.

In a statement released on social media by GWR, it was revealed that the attempt was unsuccessful due to multiple rule violations.

According to GWR, Artist Maame, who is based in Italy, was scheduled for a seven-day chewing gum marathon but fell short, lasting only seven hours.

The organisation cited unauthorised breaks and the artist sleeping during the attempt as the reasons for disqualification.
Despite the setback, GWR wished Artist Maame the best of luck in her future record attempts, acknowledging her efforts while emphasising the importance of adhering to the rules for such endeavours.
