Ace broadcast journalist, Gifty Anti, revealed her challenging journey to success, starting with her disappointment after being denied admission to study land economy at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
This setback led her to hustle for admission, spending a semester on KNUST’s campus in pursuit of her dream. Despite not getting into her desired program, she persevered.
Upon her brother’s suggestion, she applied to the Ghana Institute of Journalism to study Public Relations but was advised by the evaluation panel to pursue journalism instead, which she initially resisted.
“First panel said journalism, second panel said the same; I insisted no, I want to do Public Relations. My letter came and it was journalism. I cried,” she narrated.
However, fate had other plans, as she received her acceptance letter for journalism, a moment that brought her to tears.
Despite this unexpected turn, she embraced the challenge wholeheartedly, guided by her father’s advice to give her all in everything she does.
This mindset propelled her through her university days, where she excelled and even took on leadership roles.
Through her hard work and determination, Gifty Anti turned her rejection by KNUST into a blessing in disguise.
Today, she joyfully talks for a living, sharing her inspiring journey on platforms like Joy Learning TV’s Career Trail, which airs every Saturday at 4 pm, and Joy News at 6:30 pm.
“Today, I talk for a living,” she said with joy.
