“After further discussions and considerations, we have opted for the Legon Stadium to host this season’s final,” Arthur stated in an interview with Akoma FM.

Arthur highlighted the logistical hurdles encountered, including the unavailability of the Tarkwa TNA Stadium, leading to the fallback plan of hosting the semi-finals in Sogakope.

He stressed the importance of the Legon Stadium and the committee’s intent to consider it for future semi-final and final matches, subject to ExCo approval.

Defending champions, Dreams FC, clinched their title with a 2-0 victory over King Faisal in the finals, securing a coveted spot in Africa.

The University of Ghana Sports Stadium, inaugurated on March 2, 2024, has swiftly established itself by successfully hosting matches of the Africa Games Men’s Football tournament in Accra just two months ago. Additionally, it is set to host the upcoming 2024 U-17 WAFU Zone B competition, solidifying its reputation as a premier venue for football events in the region.

The selection of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium underscores the Ghana Football Association’s commitment to enhancing the footballing experience for players and fans, promising an electrifying atmosphere for the climax of the FA Cup season.
